Short CV:

Jordi Morelló Baget (Reus 1967) received his doctorate in Medieval History at the University of Barcelona in 1998. He has worked as an assistant lecturer at the University of the Balearic Islands (2000-2005) and as a Ramón y Cajal researcher at the Institución Milà i Fontanals (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas de Barcelona. 2008-2013). He has been a member of numerous R+D research projects and he is author of several books and about seventy articles published in different journals and collective works. His research has focused on the study of taxation and finance in Late medieval municipalities of Catalonia (Camp de Tarragona, baronia de la Llacuna) and also in the Balearic Islands. In recent years he has focused on the study of taxation on clergy and Church-Monarchy fiscal relations in the area of the Crown of Aragon. Currently he is a team member of the Project leaded by the IP Ana Rodríguez “Petrifying Wealth. The Southern European Shift to Masonry as Collective Investment in Identity, c.1050-1300”, financed by the European Research Counsil (ERC) which is inside of the research and innovation program Horizon 2020 of the European Union (nº 695515). He is also collaborator of the Project leaded by the IP Pere Verdés Pijuan La desigualdad económica en las ciudades catalanas y mallorquinas durante la baja Edad Media a través de las fuentes del impuesto sobre la riqueza (PGC-2018-100979-B-C22), financed by the DGICYT and realized in the Department of Medieval Studies, "Milà i Fontanals" Institution (CSIC) (2019-2022).
